Currently, I enjoy creating Motion Graphics and Environmental Design, but I’m pretty much interested in anything relating to graphic design!
When I was young, I always loved to draw. Art classes in middle school and high school were always my favorite. I took an introduction to graphic design class in high school and I immediately knew I wanted to study it in college. I started by making t-shirt designs with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and my initial dream was to create a clothing company.
After high school, I completed a 10-month term of service with AmeriCorps NCCC. I traveled to Colorado, Texas, Missouri, and everywhere in-between working with non-profits and state parks on team-based projects. I filmed, photographed, and edited videos of my team's work to showcase our progress on each of my projects. I taught myself how to use Adobe Premier and have enjoyed creating videos since.
After AmeriCorps NCCC, I went to college where I learned quality graphic design practices. As a student, I was involved in various campus activities, participated in clubs, and volunteered throughout college. During my junior year, I completed an 8-month internship with Bellstores, a local convenience store company. I adhered to their brand standards when I created promotional material, signage, and a self service menu. I went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design at the University Akron in May 2023, graduating magna cum laude. I then completed a 3-month summer internship position at Innis Maggiore, an ad agency located in North Canton. I assisted the creative department with deliverables for their various clientele.
After my internship, I secured a full time postion with Lucky Shoes as a graphic designer in the marketing department. I have worked on a variety of different projects while at Lucky Shoes such as shoe catalog mailer, store graphics, filming and editing employee training videos and everything in between.
